Psalms, Vol. 2

On Psalms, Vol. 2, Texas-based worship leaders Shane Everett and Shane Barnard explore single chapters from the Old Testament over the course of a dozen songs. Dramatic, driving tracks like “Psalm 46 (Lord of Hosts)” lend an almost liturgical flair, while other compositions are sweetly celebratory, such as the wedding gem “Psalm 45 (Fairest of All)” and “Psalm 139 (Far Too Wonderful)", a popular passage attributed to King David. The sound borrows from acoustic alt-rock, but a timeless quality honours the ancient compositions that serve as inspiration.
