Using acoustic guitars, grand pianos and a 24-piece orchestra, Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki unlock unforeseen emotional possibilities in their songs. The previously sleek “On My Way to Heaven” becomes a languorous trip-hop ballad, while the laser-streaked beats of “Hello” fall away to reveal a grandly noirish jazz arrangement.
