Forever Changes (Remastered)

Simply put, Forever Changes sounds like nothing that came before it. It captures the beauty and laidback vibe of ‘60s SoCal—and the dark shadows lurking at its edges—with loping and swaying rhythms, tasteful orchestration and sublime, trippy lyrics. “A House Is Not a Motel” pulses with undeniable urgency and a guitar solo that comes straight from the gut. “Andmoreagain” is pastoral by comparison. And the cathartic orchestral build of “You Set the Scene” enhances a multi-part tune that’s both progressive and heartfelt.
