Singer/songwriter Ishay Ribo has a knack for melding intimate melodies and heart-warming verses with singable, bouncy choruses—and Grey Space shows off these qualities in abundance. Ribo’s affecting vocals drive the title track, a tingling, string-loaded rock ballad building into a powerful guitar crescendo. It strides alongside the folk-inflected, foot-tapping “Go Home”, the spiritual, keys-laden “Here Are Days to Come” and the francophone “Comme les oiseaux”, in every aspect a standout track—its upbeat romanticism and vibrant imagery lending the album an irresistible pop charm.
