Un Solo Movimiento

Aiming to capture the diversity of Latin urban music in 2018—from banging street anthems to slick crossover moves—Un Solo Movimiento stretches to 30 tracks and nearly two hours. But despite the length, it feels vital from start to finish. Masterminded by Alofoke Music label head Santiago Matias Garcia, the compilation attempts to unite artists from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, bringing together both established hitmakers and up-and-coming voices. Bubbly pop hooks meet booming reggaetón bass on "La Última Gota" by De La Ghetto, Mark B and Arcángel. "Mambo" cooks up a rave-ready jam of classic dembow drums and rapid-fire bars from Lary Over, Liro Shaq and Quimico Ultra Mega. And the trio of Bryant Myers, Messiah and Black Jonas Point hold it down for hypnotic and heavy trap with "Pensando en Ti".
