Lei My Na Die Water

Evoking images of lost highways and the forgotten souls who wander them, the lyrics of Christoph Kotze have been recorded by some of the industry’s greatest names—including Theuns Jordaan, Bok van Blerk and Laurika Rauch. With Lei My Na Die Water, the multi-award-winning songwriter (better known by his stage name Appel) lets his deep, earnest voice—and some impressive fretwork on banjo and slide guitar—tell the story. By blending contemporary folk with rhythmic, understated adult pop, he allows his words to settle into the listener’s heart, inviting all who hear to join his musical journey.
