Low Country

The spaced-out, heavy-riffing throwbacks hit the front porch. A stripped-down, mostly acoustic take on the Hawkwind boogie of 2015’s High Country, Low Country proves that its source material was more than the sum of its fuzz pedals. The simpler arrangements lend the band’s sound a rustic edge, making songs like “Mist & Shadow” and “The Dreamthieves” not just companions to their originals, but their own, estimable beasts.
