En Buena Compañía

En Buena Compañía unites generations for a style-spanning tribute to classic salsa. Representing the revered old guard, there's Puerto Rico's legendary Gentleman of Salsa, Gilberto Santa Rosa; championing the island's younger upstarts, we have Victor Garcia, leading his playfully versatile band La Sonora Sanjuanera. Despite the decades that separate the two singers, they share an infectious love for salsa's dizzying breadth: bouncy tropical rhythms streaked with hints of R&B (“El Amor de los Amores”), nods to salsa's roots in street-corner boogaloo (“Quiéreme”) and plenty of gliding Latin jazz grooves (“Te Garantizo”).
