Clichés (Apple Music Edition)

The Mexican duo of Jesse & Joy have never played to anyone’s expectations but their own. That creative ethos led to multiple must-hear albums full of heartfelt hooks and emotive expressions. Building upon the rich and mature songwriting of 2020’s Aire, the siblings return with 15 songs that expand upon and add even greater depth to their shared pop-rock vision. Among these, long-time fans are bound to find fresh favourites, while newcomers will no doubt be drawn to the synth-pop promise of “Imagina” and the heart-on-sleeve balladry of “Respirar”. Whether delivering triumphant goodbyes amid soaring riffs on “Llórale a tu madre” or cutting right to the chase on the title track’s bilingual bop, their Clichés offer up something that’s anything but predictable.
