Utopia

A rising star in Paris’ vibrant electronic music scene, Darius crafts vivid, atmospheric soundscapes from cleverly chosen sonic ingredients: Dilla-flavoured drums, shimmering electro-pop synths, lush waves of gospel and flickers of UK rave and breakbeat. Utopia, his first full-length, is patient and airy, drifting between slow-motion gusts like “Nebula” and kinetic cuts like “Mountains”, the project’s most dance-friendly number. But his sweet spot is somewhere in the middle, on tracks like “Carried Away (feat. E^ST)”, where ambient energy and R&B sensuality synthesise into a hypnotic late-night lullaby.
