For Us

Despite occupying an envious position as one of melodic rap’s most popular voices, North Carolina-born, Atlanta-based crooner Hunxho is still quick to count his blessings. His 2024 album, Thank God, found him grateful for all the gifts in his life. For Us is a sequel of sorts to a 2023 project, For Her, an ode to the women in his life through the good times and bad. His 2025 follow-up is a joyful victory lap for how far he’s come and an honest reckoning with the steps he has to take to continue improving as a man and person. “Pop Out” is a turn-up anthem that goes back to his days hustling on the corner. His eye for detail remains as sharp as ever, years removed from those days. Elsewhere, on “Learning”, he takes stock of his missteps, vowing to do better next time around.
