Finessekid - EP

Lambeth-hailing MC Finessekid may be “South London to the core”—as he boasts on “Lil Terio”, a standout from his self-titled debut EP—but his ambitions extend far beyond his ends. “I wanna make a killing off rhymes like Stormz,” he raps on “I Don’t Sell Drugs”. “I wanna make a killing off all my pain.” Indeed, Finessekid’s struggles may be what fuel him, but having acquired early co-signs from MCs like Skepta and Lancey Foux, the kid is out to prove he’s worth his weight in hype. The six tracks of Finessekid are a great start and a logical next step after the radio freestyles and SoundCloud snippets that gave him his earliest fans.
