Lágrimas Mexicanas

Guitarist Bill Frisell and songwriter Vinícius Cantuária synergise gloriously in these aural snapshots of Hispanic life in New York. Intricately latticed electric and acoustic guitars, often flavoured with Frisell's trademark digital looping, lend a three-dimensional quality to the Brazilian New Yorker’s smooth, supple singing. A knotted Frisell solo extends the balladic beauty of "Lagrimas de Amor", "Calle 7" celebrates street life, and the title track's trickster guitar and intricate percussion couldn't be more warmly charismatic.
