Demonocracy

On Job for a Cowboy’s third album, Demonocracy, the Arizona death-metal purveyors favour a no-fuss, no-muss approach to their brutal assault. Songs like "Children of Deceit" and "Tongueless and Bound" burst forth with complex rhythmic tangles, twisting their metallic riffage with Jonny Davy's gulping, doom-laden vocals. It’s only on the final song, "Tarnished Gluttony", that the band slow their stride, turning their ruthless attack into a smouldering heavy metal churn.
